Truskavets mineral water

Mineral water springs with healing properties originate in the ecologically clean area of the Carpathian Mountains. Moving slowly through the bowels of the earth, filtering through the menilite slate rocks of Ratochynskyy mountain fault, they reach the depth of one hundred meters. The water underground is exposed to the temperature and pressure enriching itself with trace elements and healing organic compounds. The unique characteristics of the mineral waters are attained due to its long maturation (up to 10 years) under the ground before reaching the surface. Useful substances contained in the mineral waters of the Carpathian Mountain zone, where Truskavets is located, specify their uniqueness.

Another reason for Truskavets to be so valued is the fact that different types of healing mineral waters are concentrated in one area. For instance, the mineral waters “Mariya” and “Sophiya” are widely used to treat concomitant diseases of gastrointestinal tract while “Bronislava” mineral water is used to treat chronic diseases of upper respiratory tract.

The mineral water “Naftusya” is the most famous among them. Its chemical composition is classified as hydrocarbonate, magnesium-calcium, low mineralized, with a high content of organic matter from 10 to 30 mg/liter. “Naftusya” has a specific taste and a light smell of oil (not always).

Healing properties of “Sophiya”:

It is the most mineralized water among those intended for use. Its therapeutic effect is directed to stimulate gastric secretion, which is very important for patients suffering from chronic gastritis with low acidity. It has a distinct choleretic effect. The mineral water normalizes the motility of stomach and intestine especially in chronic colitis.

Healing properties of “Bronislava”:

This water is not used for drinking but it is used for gargling by patients suffering from chronic pharyngitis, tonsillitis, and those disposed to frequent catarrhal diseases of upper respiratory tract and simply for oral cavity sanation. The water is served warm in the pump-room.

Healing properties of “Yuzya”:

Since ancient times the mineral water spring “Yuzya” is considered to be a spring of beauty. It includes many components. “Yuzya” retains substances of glycerol origin. It is slightly mineralized water with a weak smell of hydrogen sulphide. Organic substances contained in this mineral water increase the therapeutic effect on the human body. Due to the substances of glycerol origin the water has a wholesome effect on the human skin, giving it a healthy look and elasticity. It also has a good effect on eyes. But the mineral water should be used only on a doctor’s prescription.
